Stainless Steel drinking bottles. January 6, 2009 ChaCha (phoenix Arizona) love these staniless water bottles. Great. Bought 5 of them, and one of their tops does not work so well. But others are great. Mouth cold be a bit bigger to make room to put the ice inside. Help the Environment !! Buy stainless !
water bottle comment January 6, 2009 Eugeme Clifford Seems like a quality product at a good price. This 20 oz bottle saved me over three dollars compared to a similar 18 oz bottle from LL Bean, including shipping.
water bottles December 24, 2008 Tamera L. Clark (Magalia, Ca. USA) I purchased these bottles in different colors for my staff of an afterschool program. They are a good size for work. The staff really seemed to appreciate them. All the colors ensure that bottles don't get mixed up.
Great alternative to plastic December 22, 2008 Jay F. Mosesson I bought a stainless steel water bottle after learning that both hard and soft plastic leaches into your drinking water and is bad for health. This non leaking bottle is convenient and works fine. Perfect size for sports. Unscrewing the lid every time you need to drink is a little bit of a hassle.
Junk bottle- don't buy December 17, 2008 Shawn Zenor (Volcano, HI) As others have pointed out, these bottle have a serious design flaw with the cap, and there are apparently no replacements available. Below is a letter I just sent to the company moments ago. I'll update with a response if I get one. I purchased four of your 20 oz stainless bottles for my family and am pretty disappointed with the cap design and general durability. Three of them have the colored finish that immediately began to scratch and chip. While we can live with that, the bigger problem is what I think is a serious design flaw in matching a fine-threaded plastic cap to stainless steel. For my kids, (and despite my coaching them how to do it carefully), it was just too easy to cross-thread the cap at the first turn. In only a few days, the caps were completely stripped out. While the carabiner seems like a good idea, it mostly is just in the way and is actually too light-weight to support a full bottle of water for very long before it breaks. I used a larger climbing carabiner on mine, but then the plastic loop of the cap broke off. I've spent quite a while trying to find a source for replacement caps but have had no luck. I would not purchase these bottles again or recommended them to anyone. Any environmental benefit of purchasing these reusable bottles has been rendered ridiculous by their flaws, as now I just have a bunch of bottles with no caps and are now of no use at all.
