works like a charm! January 6, 2009 J. Vargas My sleeping bag works great! Every-time I use the sleeping bag I sweat and have really comfortable nights.
Military Grade December 29, 2008 T. Cheesman (Toronto, Ontariok) This sleeping system is great. I used it in very wet and cold conditions and it held up extremely well. I recommend buying a gore-tex cover to use over or replace the BIVY cover it comes with if your are expecting extremely wet conditions. The outer cover it comes with works well but gore-tex is much more dependable against water. Keeps you warm and dry in wet and cold conditions.
Totally worth the money December 25, 2008 E. Ramon (Los Angeles, CA) Love the bag for the most part. The only drawbacks are its weight and size. I find it almost impossible to fit in my Denali Pro bag... but its barely do-able. Overall I would buy it again. Also the seller was great. VERY FAST shipment out of their door... I messed up because I choose standard shipment.
Amazing November 25, 2008 S. W. Snow (GPF, MI USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is one of the best bags for the price I have ever seen! I have used many bags that promised many things, but this is the first one I have used where I can say that there are no issues, and I will say that at times I am actually too warm. If you are looking for a bag that you can take anywhere that it might be a little cold, go with confidence with this one. There is one downside, that doesn't matter to me, but might when it comes to a hiker, it is a wee bit heavy, but what would you expect with a bag like this? I keep it in my Rover and have used it to sleep out there on trips and have had no issues. Bottom line, if you want to you can spend a lot more money, and get a lighter bag, but if you are not carting around the thing and will just be using it to sleep in the great cold outdoors, you can trust this old boy and for the money it is a Great deal!
Extreme Conditions Survival Sleeping Bag November 15, 2008 Jeffrey C. Dyrek (Illinois) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We are close to the time of a National Emergency and everyone needs to heed the Boy Scout Motto, "Be Prepared." I am a real Geographic North Pole Explorer and in 2008 I have ten years of expedition experience. This bag is a super nice bag that is very similiar to the bag I use on the North Pole. My bag is stored in Longyerbyen Norway. The big advantage of this bag is that it has a tripple layer with one waterproof layer. While it is not warm enough to use on the pole, it is fantastic for anyone traveling or trying to survive in any condition in the United States. The tripple layer is very important for multi seasonal use as you can use the warmth level to fit your environment. You can also use the bag as an emergency bag that can keep two people warm if the situation exhist. The bag is constructed to be very warm when you need warmth. As a North Pole Expedition Leader, the way to calculate the true warmth of bag that you need, you put on all the clothes that you think would be necessary for the worst conditions that you will expect, and then double it. This is a super important rule, a rule that will make the difference between survival or not surviving. Do not skimp on your equipment. Any bag that I have ever seen of this quality will cost you four or five hundred dollars, so the price of the bag is fantastically and unblievelably low. Hard times are coming and you better be prepaired. I am a survival expert with over forty years of back country experience all the way from the Geographic North Pole, to Siberia to the High Sierras to the Jungles in Southeast Asia. Safety first, survival first, price is secondary, but this one is super affordable. C. Jeff Dyrek, North Pole Expedition Guide and Expedition Leader. C. Jeff Dyrek. Don't get caught out in the cold. Type this into a search engine, "C. Jeff Dyrek north pole" and you will see that I'm telling the truth.
