Amazon.com Product Description Ideal for people who live in small spaces--such as students or the elderly--the Table-Mate II creates a compact, flat surface for virtually any activity. Use it for eating, typing on a laptop, studying, reading, writing, drawing, playing board games, building models, gardening, or serving hors d'oeuvres. The Table-Mate II assembles easily out of the box, with no tools or fasteners required. More importantly, the table is a breeze to use when fully assembled. Simply slide the table surface to the horizontal position and it's ready for action. When you're finished, you can then fold it back down and store it next to a chair, under a sofa, or in a closet. You can even stack several Table-Mate IIs next to each other in a semi-folded position, where they're easily accessible to people who are recovering from injury or who suffer from mobility problems. Outfitted with an attractive wood-grain surface, this version of the Table-Mate II measures 20 by 15 inches across the top and holds up to 50 pounds. It also offers six adjustable heights and four adjustable angles: one horizontal, two slightly downward angles, and one upward angle.

Convenient To Use But The Top Warps Easily November 17, 2008 D. Braun (GA, U.S.A.) The top is all plastic and even though it's rated to hold up to 50 lbs., you'll notice it sags in the middle with as little as a 7 pound laptop on it (that's what I use it for). I'd give it 5 stars for convenience if it weren't for this and the fact that the TableMate website has NO contact telephone number - and does NOT respond to e-mails inquiring about a replacement top - it's supposed to have a lifetime warranty against breakage, bending, etc. Mine has developed a permanent warp to the point that my mouse won't even lay flat. A steel shim molded into the top's perimeter lip would have made for a much more rigid design.
Great little table! November 16, 2008 Cynthia A. Kinney (Michigan USA) I have had one of the older, original Table-Mates for about 15 years. It is larger and much more sturdy and still in excellent shape. When I moved into an apartment the older table was a little too large, and so white! When I saw the wood grain tables I knew I had to have one. I was a little disappointed that it is not quite as solid and sturdy as my old one, but I use it all the time. As a laptop desk, a TV tray, a writing desk and a 100 other things. I like the fact that it can be folded away, but to tell the truth, I never take it down. My old white one is folded in the closet. I bring it out when I need another, or larger work surface. Every household should have at least one Table- Mate. I know I couldn't get along without mine.
better than any other I've seen before and after November 2, 2008 Alexey Tsygankov (NJ USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you need a table for laptop - this one is your choice. I had some doubt ordering it cause it was a "blind order" - now no doubt, this is the only one I'll buy in future from many others I've seen.
Table-mate II October 13, 2008 Shelly Mac (CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This little table works great with my laptop computer. When I'm not using it, it is off to the side out of the way with my laptop on it. Then when I want to use my computer, I just swing it around to the front of my recliner chair and I'm ready to go. I use the table in the slant position and there's also plenty of room for a note pad and pen. I'm really happy that I bought one.
Table Mate II - Just what I needed! October 11, 2008 Sassiebabi (Southern Louisiana) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After seeing reviews for the Table Mate II, I ordered one for my laptop (other laptop tables are too expensive). I received the table in less than seven days. I put it together in a couple of minutes. Table is sturdy enough for my laptop (with mouse and external harddrive), reading, or small projects. I like the wood grain look (be aware that the table top is sturdy plastic). Be careful if you use your laptop, it may slide or slip off! I took some non-slip pads and put under mine to help stop this. The table also slides very well under my deep-seated sofa, so that I can sit back and relax while working. I'm very pleased with the Table Mate II and would highly recommend it.
